Frances Lockstone.

Today I'd like to welcome Frances Lockstone, author of “Innerbody Wisdom” to The Thursday Interview. Before we get started, a quick intro!

Frances Lockstone has lived and breathed the healing arts since she was a child. Born in south west Britain in the county of Cornwall, she grew up in a wild landscape full of Celtic imagery. Even then she had a deep connection with the hidden worlds beyond time and was extremely psychic as a child. She went on to live and work in Wales and has learnt to speak and write Welsh. She has written two books and is a painter and poet. For much of her life she has worked as a therapist teaching Innerbody Wisdom, sharing her skills as a healer and wise woman.

OK - HERE WE GO !!

No.1 Would you break the law to save a loved one? .. why?
In the heat of the moment my wild woman would do whatever was needed, regardless of the consequences! I am a Capricorn so am normally very law abiding, but of course there have to be exceptions to every rule.

No.2 What is the difference between being alive and truly living?
The cotton wool world – that is what I call just being alive, existing. That is how it felt for me for years till I had an extraordinary experience and woke up. Live the life fantastic is my motto for today.

No.3 What motivates you to write?
My deepest felt self, she pushes me to get up every day and write or paint or sing. It is a warm flush of creative power and it is with me every day. If I ignore it I get ill.

No.4 Why do humans want children?
The deep instinctual power of Mother Earth drives us to create so that we can love and be loved from a profound place of knowing. They represent our desire not to die.

No.5 What was the biggest challenge in creating your book "Innerbody Wisdom" ?
Stepping out beyond the fear of failure and embracing risk. Waking up at 6am every day to write so it becomes a habit and then meditating and let the words come.

No.6 What is the most important thing you have learned in life so far?
That forgiveness sometimes comes hard but is always worth it. I had to start with myself and work backwards to everyone in my life. Now I know how precious people are that can forgive and I send them blessings for their kindness of heart.

No.7 How did you come up with the title "Innerbody Wisdom" ?
Innerbody Wisdom is what I teach and many of my students over the years asked if I could write a book for them. I feel a profound connection to them all and they have undoubtedly taught me as much if not more than I have shared with them.

No.8 How do you handle personal criticism?
Pretty well if it is constructive and I feel it to be true. I am quick to spot when someone is saying something from their own pain or envy and I send the energy back to them with love and hope they learn to take responsibility for their ‘stuff’.

No.9 Why should people read your book?
No one ‘should’ read my book, ever. It has been written from a place of power and those who need to read it will. I have absolute trust in the power of attraction. You just need to be awake enough to grab the chances when they come and read the books you ‘feel’ will be right for you.

No.10 Why is there something rather than nothing?
There is both something and no thing. They exist together. When you travel inwards to the wisdom inside you there comes an experience that the outer world is only half the story and then life changes dramatically. It is this experience I hope to share in my books and teaching.

Thank you Frances  :)
For taking the time to answer my questions
& the best of luck with your new book!

Learn the secrets of the inner self
through the stories of a spiritual teacher.

Frances shows how we block ourselves from accessing this inner body wisdom and then talks us through the ways we can reconnect with it. She has a wonderful sense of humour and, by the end of the book, she has become a trusted friend. Her end of chapter poems/meditations are a beautiful way of reflecting on what you have just read. They work as stand alone meditations or as aids to your path through life.
